Site Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the construction/renovation of commercial buildings, primarily automotive dealerships. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in commercial projects and is skilled at effectively managing subcontractors, timelines, and quality standards, while maintaining a safe work environment.

• Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities on the construction site.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Oversee subcontractors and work teams.
  • Ensure the application of quality and compliance standards.
  • Enforce and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in coordination meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with the client, professionals, and project manager.
  • Coordinate the installation of specialized equipment (mechanical workshops, wash bays, etc.).
  • Supervise work related to automotive brand requirements (showroom, finishing, branding).

• Desired Profile

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in supervising commercial construction sites.
  • Holder of a valid CCQ journeyman card – an asset.
  • Holder of a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of building codes and OHS standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Experience with automotive dealership projects or similar – an asset.
  • Leadership, rigor, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with construction site management software (Stack, Excel, etc.).
